I’ve found that a skincare routine always works best when it’s simple, minimal, and easy to follow. A minimalist skin regimen, when used correctly, can solve a host of skincare issues and work to achieve a common goal -– enhancement of your skin’s texture, clarity, and improving the quality of your complexion.
Here are the 6 products I’d recommend to keep your routine minimal, effective, and uncomplicated.
2. A Toner
A face toner is usually used to remove excess dirt, makeup, and oil traces after cleanings. Toning your skin also helps to remove dead surface skin cells and balances skin pH. I’m currently using Fresh’s Rose Facial Toner.
Once you are cleansed and toned, the next step is to moisturize. Lately, I’ve been using the Sobel Skin RX Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer and I love it. I highly recommend this moisturizer. After I use this product, my skin is super hydrated and dewy.
Don’t skip this step. If you’re spending your days outside you must use a SPF. I’ve really been loving Shiseido’s Skin Protector Lotion SPF 50. It’s AMAZING! This is a sunscreen lotion with an SPF 50 and helps quench the skin with hydration. It has powerful SPF protection that has a nice refreshing scent and makes me feel like I’m in a spa every time I use it. Best thing about this product is it’s INVISIBLE, leaving no white cast. I’m telling you, this product is a winner!
5. Retinol at Night
Retin A helps the body boost collagen, plumps the skin, reduces wrinkles and lines, and improves the skin’s texture. I’ve been using Retin A at least once a week for a year now and it’s a fantastic product to incorporate into a minimalist skincare regimen. Note* Retin A must be prescribed by a doctor.
This Aztec Clay Mask has helped to improve my acne prone skin by drawing out impurities buried deep in my skin. It’s like an all-natural vacuum to detoxify and clean the pores. Pick up a great clay mask and use it regularly. This will keep your skin stay clean and clear, and improve dullness and uneven texture.
