It all started with a visit to New York City where I met up for a private event with the team. When I stepped inside, I was immediately drawn in by the inviting atmosphere and chic decor. The windows were lined with the artisanal label from the new launch, L’Eau Papier, and candles, vases, fragrance. Art supplies graced the table we were going to be seated at. After taking some time to explore the space, I was invited to join the exclusive event for the launch of their newest fine scent– L’Eau Papier.
The Workshop
We also had a chance to meet with Artist Jocelyn Benford. She guided us through the workshop on how to use paint and water and taught us specific art techniques to create my own unique label. One that was inspired by the bottle for L’Eau Papier. It was such an amazing opportunity; I felt like I had a chance to really express myself—not just through fragrance, but also through artwork! Jocelyn was so relaxed and lovely, she made learning these creative new ideas both fun and simple. The end result of our efforts together was simply stunning. I’ve kept the art I created from this special session as the perfect reminder of the creativity and energy that went into it.
my Experience
With curiosity and excitement, I settled into my seat for the launch of this new fragrance. Little did I know I was about to have an interactive and immersive experience! The Director of Education at Diptyque, Eduardo Valadez, spoke to us passionately about the notes of L’Eau Papier. He was teaching us all about the culture behind this beloved brand. We had a chance to learn the history of the founders, who were artisans in their own right, and it was inspiring to hear how Diptyque continues to honor their legacy by including art with each new release. This experience was truly unlike any other product launch I have attended!

My First Impressions on L’Eau Papier
During the drawing session, I was able to test out the new release, and here are my thoughts. Simply put, it’s a fresh, clean fragrance. As soon as I sprayed it on my skin, I could immediately feel how soft and delicate it smelled yet also how powerful it was at evoking memories and emotions. The white musks blended perfectly with the rice steam accord while the mimosa provided a lightness that helped balance everything out beautifully. There were also subtle hints of blonde woods that gave it an intriguing depth that only made me want more! These notes come together masterfully, creating a blend so exquisite and perfect for everyday! Paired with its complexity, this is one fragrance, from the L’Eau collection, that deserves your undivided attention for the spring and summer.
