I’ve been wearing La Mer’s Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation for almost a year now, and I think it’s time I give it a full review.

Let me start off by saying this is the best foundation I’ve ever used.

Usually, when I try a new foundation, even if I’m just sampling it, it breaks me out. La Mer’s Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation doesn’t irritate my skin at all (which is huge for me). This foundation is super-lightweight and has a beautiful finish that doesn’t clog my pores.

The Ingredients
La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation has no parabens, no sulfates, & no phthalates. It also has the Miracle Broth, which is “the healing force that flows through all La Mer products” (haha, yes La Mer! Werk!). This Miracle Broth is said to hydrate, energize, and soothe the skin. It also has SPF 20– with no flash back.

The Coverage
La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation is buildable. It’s a medium coverage foundation– I think you could actually go full coverage with this foundation if you desire more coverage.

The Finish
So so pretty! It gives a natural, healthy, dewy glow. BTW, This is my most complimented foundation. Whenever I wear La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation, I received so many compliments on how beautiful my skin looks. Did you catch that? People actually compliment my skin– not my makeup.

The Wear
This can be a long-wearing foundation if it’s set with the La Mer sheer setting powder (use this setting powder and thank me later– its beautiful!). Most times when I wear the La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation, I’m only wearing it for no more than six hours, and I typically, reach for it on days where I just want to look beautiful and flawless. I hate cake face makeup. Not a good look, in my opinion.

The Price
OK, so this is the most expensive foundation I’ve ever purchased. It costs $120 (I bought it with my own money), but honestly, it’s totally worth every single penny.

My Conclusion
I adore this product! I can’t be without it. I reach for it all the time! It looks gorgeous on my skin, and I genuinely believe it has changed my skin for the better. Check out the other La Mer Products I love here– they are so beautiful! I’m crossing my fingers that La Mer extends the shade range to have deeper shades for women of color, like myself because it is a great foundation I know my Sisters will enjoy.
